What is an Exercise Physiologist? 

An Exercise Physiologist is a University trained Allied health professional who specialises in using exercise as medicine, helping individuals to get started on their exercise journey or exercise with a chronic condition or during the pregnancy and postpartum period.  

What is my approach as an Exercise Physiologist?

My approach as an Exercise Physiologist is summarised in 2 words: education & empowerment. My aim is to help you to better understand how exercise can help you so you can be your healthier self. My approach is to show you that exercising and staying healthy doesn't have to be difficult and you can easily fit that in with your busy life.

How can I help you as an Exercise Physiologist?

During pregnancy, exercising helps to ​

  • reduce risks of developing gestational diabetes 

  • decreased risks of experiencing lower back pain, hip pain or incontinence 

  • manage weight gain 

  • improve your recovery postpartum 

During the postpartum period, exercising helps to 

  • heal abdominal separation 

  • resolve incontinence issues 

  • help lose weight 

  • increase overall strength and energy levels 

  • improve health before trying to conceive
